Your 3D Plans
Plans (aka blue prints) are 2 dimensional (2d) representations of 3d objects containing detailed unitary dimensions of a 3d object or objects in a field. Plans are a type of drawing that are technical in nature that are used to clearly define requirements for engineered or architectural items, and are created in accordance with standardized conventions for layout, appearance, nomenclature, interpretation
and size. The purpose of a plan is to accurately capture all of the geometric features of a product or a structure. The end goal of a 2d plan is to convey all of the required information to allow a manufacturer or contractor to produce the component or structure.
Plans are often referred to as blueprints. However, the terms are now becoming as ambiguous as most copies of engineering and architectural plans that were formerly made using a paper process being superseded by modern reproduction processes in CAD processes.
The process of producing engineering and architectural plans is often referred to as technical drawing, although technical drawings are also required for disciplines that would not ordinarily be thought of as parts of engineering.
